{"id":5725,"date":"2022-01-25T08:36:35","date_gmt":"2022-01-25T08:36:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/?p=5725"},"modified":"2022-01-25T08:54:18","modified_gmt":"2022-01-25T08:54:18","slug":"geely-holding-group-and-renault-group-sign-agreement-for-joint-cooperation-in-south-korea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/la\/geely-holding-group-and-renault-group-sign-agreement-for-joint-cooperation-in-south-korea\/","title":{"rendered":"Geely Holding Group and Renault Group Sign Agreement for Joint Cooperation in South Korea"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and Renault Group have signed a cooperation agreement to launch all-new vehicle lineup for the South Korean market.<\/li><li>Renault-Samsung Motors (RSM) will&nbsp;manufacture Hybrid Electric and Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles in Busan for the local market and for export.<\/li><li>Geely Group will become a strategic partner of RSM, including licensing architecture and powertrain technologies.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>21 January 2022, Hangzhou, China and Boulogne-Billancourt, France&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Renault Group and Geely Holding Group (Geely Group), China\u2019s largest privately-owned automotive group, have signed an agreement to launch a new collaboration dedicated to bringing fuel-efficient Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) models to the South Korean market as well as for export sales. The new vehicles will be produced at the Renault-Samsung facility in Busan, South Korea, with production forecast to begin in 2024.<\/p><p>This collaboration marks a further step in efforts by the two automobile groups in producing low-emission models, as well as increasing their penetration in the Asian HEV markets. The partnership also forms part of Renault\u2019s \u201cRenaulution\u201d program to upgrade the RSM brand and product portfolio by using industry leading technology, engineering and services as well as working with strong local partners.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"833\" height=\"497\" src=\"https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5727\" srcset=\"https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-3.png 833w, https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-3-600x358.png 600w, https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-3-300x179.png 300w, https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-3-768x458.png 768w, https:\/\/geelylaos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image-3-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 833px) 100vw, 833px\" \/><\/figure><p><em>CMA (Compact Modular Architecture)<\/em><\/p><p>The new products will utilize Geely Group\u2019s world-class compact modular architecture (CMA), developed by Geely\u2019s R&amp;D centre in Sweden<strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;as well as taking advantage of Geely Group\u2019s advanced hybrid powertrain technologies. Renault and RSM will contribute their expertise in design and customer experience, while providing cutting-edge technologies to meet and exceed local market expectations.<\/p><p>The new vehicles will provide South Korean customers with premium features, industry-leading technology and strengthen RSM\u2019s reputation in the market as provider of high-quality automotive services.
